Another assisted death with love, respect, dignity and peace

Sylvia Henshaw, the widow of a Nova Scotian man, Douglas Henshaw, has spoken out about the way his assisted death under the Canadian legislation was done with love and respect and resulted in a death with dignity and peace.  She shows too what the impact is when the people we love are suffering intolerably when no relief is likely.

As she is reported in the article: “No matter how much time I spent with him or what I did for him, I couldn’t alleviate the pain that he had. I couldn’t alleviate his suffering. It wasn’t until I could support him in his quest to end his life that I felt I could actually do something for him that was helpful,” she said.
