It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to work with her on the law reform for over 5 years. She has been an unwavering, compassionate, intelligent and committed advocate for action to give Tasmanians a choice of their doctors’ help of assisted dying if they are at the end of their lives with intolerable and unrelievable suffering. Lara and her co-sponsors of the assisted dying law, Nick McKim in 2013 and now Cassy O’Connor, have put aside Party politics to work together for Tasmanians to have this choice within safe, transparent and accountable rules and regulations.

The Parliament debate starts on 24 May. If you’re in Hobart, come to the rally that day, 1 -2 pm in the Parliament Gardens. And please spread the word!
