The major moral difficulties are what the Prime Minister’s response shows – abysmal ignorance and prejudice, an absence of compassion and an absence of respect for everyone’s moral choices not just for those of the Liberal Party’s  religious right conservative power-brokers.  His response is in line with Tasmanian Liberal MPs – not a single one has voted for or come out publicly in favour of a legal assisted dying choice – and NSW and WA Liberals – none voted for their last Bills.
