Victorian assisted dying legislation likely

There are numerous news reports that the Victorian Government is about to announce they will introduce an assisted dying Bill next year.  This may well be after the Tasmanian debate, but the news is a boost to the chances of the Tasmanian Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill moved in the Tasmanian Parliament on 17 November.

The Bill follows the excellent report following the Victorian inquiry into end of life choices.  See our Issues Paper, Voluntary Assisted Dying – the Basics, for more details.
